HIGH-EFFICIENCY ANTIFUNGAL DRUG

high-efficiency ANTIFUNGAL DRUG

Ethylthiosulfanylate (ЕТS) is fungicidal and bactericidal agents for skin disease treatment. It is disinfectant and prophylactic agents for health protection of workers who work in
plants
with increased dangerbased on fungal skin diseases. The drug based on ЕТS active substance is recommended for treatment of epidermatomycosis of the feet, onychomycosis, psoriasis and other diseases which are related to the microbial lesion of epithelial tissues.

The synthesis method and technology of receipt of ЕТS medical substance are developed and approved on the chemical and pharmaceutical factories.

Characteristics of ЕТS medical substance

ЕТS is a white or white cream crystalline compound with a specific smell. It is insoluble in water and soluble in lower alcohols, ether, acetone, chloroform, dioxane and other organic solvents. The melting temperature is 78˚C.

Characteristics of medicinal agent on the basis of ЕТS

Active substance                       Ethylthiosulfanylate (ЕТS); LD50= 2000 mg/kg

Pharmacological action           The drug acts as antifungal, antibacterial,anti-itching and anti-inflammatory agentsfor skin. The action effect is visible without the inflammatory phenomena in two or three days after the application.

Action features                           The drug has a keratolytic action and exfoliates the horn surface of affected skin. It is characterized by the lack ofsensibilisation and rapid medical effect.

Competition                              The fungicidal action of the drug twice exceeds the effect of antifungal agents such as klotrimazol, nystatin and amphotericin ointments. The drug is competitive with the known antifungal agents such as klotrimazol, nystatin, amphotericin and bifonazole ointments, econazole gel, nizoral and lamisil creams, gentamicin ointment. Unlike comparative drugs, ETS ointment has antibacterial activity.

Potassium salt N-(1,4-DIOXO-3-chlor-1,4-dihydro-naphthYL-2)-ALANINE - antihypoxant withantischemic activity and stimulating effect on cerebrum blood supply

The new bioactive chemical compound - potassium salt of N-(1,4-dioxo-3-chlor-1,4-dihydronaphthyl)-2-alanine shows antihypoxant and antischemic properties and also stimulating effect on cerebrum blood supply.

Concerning degree of the antihypoxant effect in conditions of acute experimental asphyxia among the rats a dose of researched chemical compound equals to 1% of its LD50
and does not yield to emoxipine (10 mg/kg). Taking into account models of acute brain ischemia a dose makes up 5% of its LD50in comparison with pirocetam (100mg/kg)and extends a lifetime of experimental animals two times. The chemical compound (4mg/kg intravenously) is characterized by the evident stimulating activity on brain blood flow, it twice exceeds effect of cavinton (4mg/kg intravenously) taking into consideration its quantity and duration.

The development is protected by the patent of Ukraine.

Product characteristics

Potassium salt of N-(1,4-dioxo-3-chlor-1,4-dihydronaphthyl)-2-alanine – a dark red crystal substance, dissolvable in the water, melting point > 280˚С.

Development characteristics and advantages

- the proposed bioactive chemical compound is more effective than the closest analogues of the same effect - wellknown as Emoxipin, Piracetam, Cavinton.

- the new bioactive chemical compound  is suitable for a development of more effective and safe medications with the above-mentioned effect.

TECHNOLOGY OF BLANK PRODUCTION OF POLYMER MATERIAL FOR CORRECTION AND MEDICAL HIGH COMFORT CONTACT LENSES

TECHNOLOGY OF BLANK PRODUCTION OF POLYMER MATERIAL FOR CORRECTION AND MEDICAL HIGH COMFORT CONTACT LENSES

It is developed the blank production technology of Akrylan LPI polymer material for high-permeable soft contact lenses and Glipox polymer material for ultra thin correction and medical contact lenses. The technical conditions and laboratory regulations are also worked out.

The new technology of blank production allows to get corrections and medical high comfort contact lenses on the basis of high permeable optical polymer materials.

The blank material is hydrophilic and has 40% to 60%mass water content, also has elastic deformation properties that enable to produce ultra-thin lenses which retain their shape with the thickness up to 0.04mm and less. These contact lenses are marked by the stability of optical and geometrical characteristics, increased oxygen permeability and comfort during the exploitation. Enhanced material flexibility provides production conditions of combined contact lenses with a hard center without internal tension.

The blanks of polymer material are appointed for the production of ultra-thin and combined correction and medical contact lenses for ophthalmology. Contact lenses made of blank material allow to make vision corrections of any degree of myopia and aphakia, including astigmatism.

BIOCOMPATIBLE FUNCTIONAL MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLES FOR NEEDS OF MEDICINE AND BIOTECHNOLOGY

BIOCOMPATIBLE FUNCTIONAL MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLES FOR  NEEDS OF MEDICINE AND BIOTECHNOLOGY

Functional magnetic nanoparticles with immobilized on the surface drugs and high-molecular substances of natural origin (proteins, nucleic acids) are used in biochemistry, cell biology and medicine as markers for cell metabolism research and carriers of biologically active substances for targeted drug delivery.

New, dispersible in water and physiological solutions, magnetic nanoparticles with the predefined size, which contain functional groups on their surface, are active in immobilization reactions of biologically active substances. The simple approach to surface functionalization, wich consists in grafting of polymer shell with tailored structure, to the particle surface is worked out. Preparations obtained on its base can be usedas magnetic markers and carriers for targeted drug delivery. The advantage of the developmentover analogues issynthesis simplicity and universality in surface functionalization reactions.

The electric drive is designed for the blood centrifuges of CNL-6  to use in blood donor centers, medical educational institutions, research institutes of hematology and blood transfusion, clinical diagnostic laboratories.

In the known foreign analogues of medical centrifuges the electric drives are used on the basis of DC motors or asynchronous motors. The reduces the reliability and increases the noise in the first case complicates a control circuit in the second one. The proposed electric drive, based on the brushless motor, is more reliable, noiseless, and the control circuitis simpler.
